David La Point is the Senior Vice President of Client Services for ICON Medical Imaging. During his more than twenty-five year career in the life sciences and medical imaging industries, his experience includes approximately 15 years of hands-on clinical imaging experience within hospital X-ray, CT, MR, US, NM, Cardiac Catheterization and Interventional imaging departments and approximately ten years of supporting medical imaging endpoints in clinical research trials. This broad base of experience provides Mr. La Point with valuable global business and industry perspectives.
Mr. La Point most recently had been the Executive Director of Business and Clinical Operations and Business Development at Quintiles Intelligent Imaging, a multinational business unit with Quintiles Transnational. In this role he had overall responsibility for project management, project managers, business development and budget/proposal development.
Prior to joining Intelligent Imaging, he had been a senior sales and training professional with a multinational capital X-ray equipment manufacturer and participated in the development and successful launch of several CT and MR products. He spent approximately three months in Osaka, Japan providing end-user product training and Japanese partner support.
Mr. La Point received an associates degree in allied health, majoring in radiological technology. He has a bachelor’s degree in business economics and graduated from Rosemont College with a bachelor’s of science degree in business.
